Baird: Together we will be showing you how to use a very easy and helpful website to cite your resources correctly.
Baird: First you want to go to Easybib.com
Jonathan: This website is a free and automatic bibliography and citation maker in the MLA format for free. However if you wish to use Chicago or other formats there will be a nominal fee.
Kevin:Creating a correct MLA citation is very simple and quick. First as soon as you are on the homepage, you should see a box in the middle of your screen.
Baird:Above that box, you have different options to cite a website, a book, a journal, or a database. After selecting what kind of resource you will be citing, all you have to do is to follow the instructions on your screen. We will use hear in books a common book, like The Hunger Games. Once we type the name in, click select on the correct title, then check the information to make sure its all there, and now you have your citation.
Baird: If you selected “a website”, in the box below, enter the website address or keywords to cite. For a book, in the box, search by adding the book title, keywords, or ISBN. We will use hear in books a common book, like The Hunger Games. Baird: For articles and journals, just add the title of the article or journal in the box. Here we will use an internet source. We copy the url into the box. After entering the necessary information, click the green box on the right that says“autocite”
Baird: When you press “autocite”, scroll down and confirm or modify the information below. Once all the information is correct, press“create citation” on the bottom of your screen.
Baird:Now you are ready to copy and paste the citation and add it to your bibliography!
